When the home is sold or is no longer your primary residence, the loan balance, interest and other finance charges are repaid. Proceeds beyond the amount owed belong to you, your spouse or your estate. Reverse mortgages are non-recourse, so you or your heirs never owe more than the loan amount or the home value, whichever is less.
Programs, rates, terms and eligibility vary and are subject to credit approval and underwriting. Not all applicants will qualify. This is not a commitment to lend.
